Workshop by Monotype:
"Sonic Letterforms: Shaping Type with Sound" by Juan Villanueva and Emilios Theofanous

What to expect:
Typography isn’t just visual. It carries rhythm, tone, and movement, much like sound. In this workshop, we will explore the dynamic relationship between audio and typography, using soundscapes, rhythms, and music as creative prompts for logotype design. Through guided listening exercises and hands-on sketching, participants will translate sonic experiences into expressive letterforms, crafting wordmarks that visually embody the essence of sound and blur the line between what we hear and what we see.

The workshop will be facilitated by Juan Villanueva, Sr. Type Designer at Monotype and Emilios Theofanous, Creative Type Director.

Maximum number of participants: 25 pax.

Duration of the workshop: 3 hours.
